This is based on the Municipal Ordinance No.2019-014. “An Ordinance Revising the Municipal Ordinance No.07-2014” An Ordinance Enacting the Tricycle Code in the Municipality of Puerto Galera and Appropriating Funds Thereof”, particularly, Section 12 and Section 18b.

The purpose of obtaining the said permit is to confirm that the for residential and commercial building is in a suitable living condition considering its compliance to the provision of the code and to the submitted plans and specifications. However, a process should be conducted first before having Occupancy Permit.
According to the National Building Code of the Philippines, an Occupancy Permit, also known as Certificate of Occupancy, shall be issued and approved by respective Office of the Building Official before using the structure.
